About Dr. Capretto
Dr. Jaye Capretto, PhD, HSP, LPC, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment of autism and neurodevelopmental differences in children and adolescents. She served as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Oxley Foundation Chair in Child Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine — training physicians, child psychiatry fellows, and medical students in autism diagnosis — and continues there today as affiliated faculty.

What does an evaluation cost?
Our comprehensive evaluation is a flat $3,000 — intake and history, testing, the feedback session, and the full written report included. As the practice opens, the first 20 families to schedule receive a practice-opening rate of $2,500. Complex evaluations requiring extended testing are identified and quoted at your intake — always before you commit. The initial 15-minute consultation is free; a $500 intake fee, credited in full toward the evaluation total, is due when you schedule the intake appointment.
What is provided in my child’s report?
A comprehensive written report: the diagnostic findings, the scores behind them, and specific, practical recommendations for home, school, and medical care. Dr. Capretto co-wrote the State of Oklahoma’s guidance on identifying autism, and she selects assessments and writes reports with schools’ and payers’ criteria in mind — to help children qualify for the supports and services they need.
Referral Information
Dr. Capretto accepts referrals for comprehensive autism and neurodevelopmental evaluation of patients ages 2–21, with current scheduling within 4–6 weeks. Evaluations are anchored by evidence-based, best-practice standards, with cognitive, adaptive, developmental, and social-emotional batteries selected for each patient’s needs.
The most helpful referrals include the specific questions testing should answer, relevant developmental and medical history, and any prior records or reports. Records can be faxed with the referral, and results are returned to referring providers with consent. Dr. Capretto also offers a commissioned half-day training for clinical teams — Identifying Autism in Clinical Practice, 4 contact hours with a full participant toolkit — hosted at your clinic, agency, or district.
